Southgate’s intervention has been reported by the Daily Star, who also claim Rashford’s relationship with Rangnick is non-existent. Rashford “has struggled to form a relationship” with the interim coach, which had led to reports that the striker would move on this summer. Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona were understood to be keeping track of the situation. But now Rashford, per the report, has decided to stay at Old Trafford under Ten Hag.   Rashford is “pleased” with the appointment of the Ajax boss Ten Hag, who will take up the role at the end of the season. He is eager to kick-start his career under Ten Hag, who Rangnick believes is the best man to revive the fortunes of the club. New contract talks for Rashford Rashford’s current contract runs until the summer of 2023. But as with most players at the club there is an option to extend it by 12 months.   Ten Hag though has made it clear to United CEO Richard Arnold and Darren Fletcher that Rashford is a player he wants to keep. Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani are all expected to leave. And Ten Hag wants to develop Rashford into one of United’s stars. It’s thought that talks over a new deal will take place this summer. With United and Ten Hag hopeful of securing Rashford on another long-term contract.
