That deal can be made permanent in either 2022 or 2023 with Atletico currently paying his wages in full. Just how Spurs would go about a deal is unclear and it would certainly be complicated. But Spurs are looking to add to their squad and, according to Fichajes, the 2018 World Cup winner could be heading to London. Conte is said to be an admirer of the player and watching developments at the Wanda Metropolitano. The report claims his future at Atletico is “uncertain” after an underwhelming return. He has seven goals in 21 games this season and Atletico are considering severing the deal with Barca. That would mean he would return to Catalonia, where his contract runs until 2024. And Spurs have “shown the most interest” in landing the forward.
