Traore, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the past couple of seasons. Tottenham were also thought to be keen last summer while Barcelona have been mentioned in connection with the player. However it is the Reds link that will not go away as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options. However, Wolves’ valuation of Traore has always been a sticking point. Indeed, at his peak, the Black and Gold were reportedly seeking a fee of around £50m for the Spain flyer. Since then though, his form and consistency has been on the decline. Indeed, in 17 Premier League appearances this season, he is yet to score or assist for Bruno Lage’s side. Last season also yielded just two goals and two assists from 37 appearances. And with his contract due to expire in summer 2023, Wolves are seemingly willing to let him leave now. As such, Football Insider reports that Traore is up for sale for just £18m – a drop of some £32m from his peak. Now the Daily Mirror claims that the valuation has piqued Klopp’s interest once again. With the Reds set to lose Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for AFCON, their attacking resources look set to be stretched.
