Euro Paper Talk: Inter Milan looking to finalise deal for key Man Utd star; Tottenham set sights on defensive rock Inter Milan are hoping to finalise a deal for a key Manchester United attacker, while Tottenham have set their sights on a new defensive rock, according to Friday’s Euro Paper Talk.   INTER STEP UP BID FOR MAN UTD STAR Inter Milan are reportedly looking to land either Anthony Martial or Timo Werner if they lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona this summer. Argentine Martinez is being strongly linked with a big-money move to the Catalan giants, who is viewed as the long-term successor to Luis Suarez at the Nou Camp. That has led to Inter boss Antonio Conte already weighing up potential replacements, and it would appear that he has stepped up his chase for Manchester United star Martial and RB Leipzig’s Werner – as reported in Italy. According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have identified Liverpool target Werner as their main option. The pacy German international is believed to have a £51m release clause in his contract, making him a relatively modest replacement for Martinez, but Jurgen Klopp’s men remain the favourites to sign the 27-goal frontman. Gazzetta also states that Inter would consider a move for Martial. Conte targeted the Frenchman a year ago but he has since become vital to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Old Trafford rebuild.   The Norwegian has been delighted with Martial’s form this season, feeling that the Frenchman has stepped up in the absence of Marcus Rashford, and is almost certain to turn down any offers for the player. Indeed, United are looking to add Jadon Sancho or Harry Kane to their attacking mix to give Solskjaer a formidable front three, similar to the goalscoring power that Liverpool have.     AND MORE FROM THE EURO PAPERS Barcelona have ruled out trying to re-sign PSG forward Neymar this summer (Catalunya Radio) Real Madrid could reportedly include Achraf Hakimi in their offer to try and prise Man Utd target Erling Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund (AS) Man City are reportedly set to have to fend off Bayern Munich as they remain interested in Leroy Sane and are eyeing a cut-price deal for him this summer Kylian Mbappe should stay at Paris Saint-Germain for one more season before considering a move to Real Madrid, according to ex-France international Bacary Sagna Lille president Gerard Lopez labelled Gabriel Magalhaes “an absolute machine” as the defender reportedly attracts interest from Everton (Goal) Defender Eder Militao has been reassured he won’t be sold by Real Madrid in the next transfer window (Marca) Real Madrid are expected to keep hold of Arsenal strike target Luka Jovic this summer AC Milan are set to rival Arsenal for the services of Olympiacos’ midfield ace Mady Camara this summer (Calciomercato) Barcelona head coach Quique Setien insists Ivan Rakitic has not submitted a transfer request (El Larguero) Inter Milan have prepared a contract for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud (Gazzetta dello Sport) Mehdi Benatia doubts Man City boss Pep Guardiola move to Juventus will happen soon Tottenham have firmly set their sights on Inter Milan centre-back Diego Godin to replace Jan Vertonghen (Calciomercato) Nelson Semedo has halted negotiations over a new contract with Barcelona (SPORT) Juventus have no plans to sanction the departure of Arsenal defensive Merih Demiral this summer (Calciomercato)   The post Euro Paper Talk: Inter Milan looking to finalise deal for key Man Utd star; Tottenham set sights on defensive rock appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
