£20m Tottenham star refuses to make move to Premier League rivals Watford failed with a late bid to sign Tottenham’s Danny Rose, according to widespread sources. Rose, 29, looked destined to leave the club this summer after missing the tour to Singapore and was told he was not part of Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term plans. “Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Danny Rose have been granted additional time off in order to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs,” read a Tottenham statement at the time. Rose though then got himself back into the first-team fold and featured in pre-season with Ben Davies still recovering from pre-season surgery. It had also been previously reported Tottenham were looking to recoup £20m for the left-back they bought from Leeds for £1m in 2007. Pochettino may well have had a change of heart, although Football Insider report that Rose refused to make the move to Watford, instead he is focusing on winning his first-team place. Sky Sports among others reported that Rose held talks with the Hornets, but flatly refused to make the transfer. There is of course still the possibility Rose will join an overseas club before the European windows close at the end of August. Sky Sports reported last month that PSG were looking to sign the left-back, while Schalke were also understood to be keen on the England man. The Daily Mirror claimed last month that Pochettino would fund a move for Ryan Sessegnon by offloading Kieran Trippier and Rose. Trippier indeed left for Atletico Madrid, while Sessegnon arrived yesterday £25m, but Rose stood firm and it remains to be seen whether he will start the season against Aston Villa.   The post £20m Tottenham star refuses to make move to Premier League rivals appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
