Tottenham Hotspur have been asked to up their offer for Tanguy Ndombele, according to a report.
Ndombele is believed to be Spurs number one summer transfer target and they have lodged an opening offer of €45million, but with Real Madrid understood to be interested Lyon are sitting tight.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said: “Tottenham made us an opening offer worth €45m. Then, we discussed more. Nothing is done, I can assure you. We are not in a hurry either. How much is he worth? I do not know, but not just €45m.”
RMC Sport say Aulas has asked Daniel Levy to make an improved offer for the highly rated 22-year-old with the Ligue 1 club looking for a figure closer to €70million.
The latest news is certainly a step back for Spurs with L’Equipe and Sky Sports yesterday claiming that a £71million agreement was in place between the two clubs.
The Lyon midfielder has found himself one of European football’s most in-demand stars this summer after a stellar season for Lyon and has been tracked by Spurs, as well as Manchester United, PSG and Juventus.
Now though Mundo Deportivo claims Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is planning to add just one more summer signing to his squad with Christian Eriksen, Donny van de Beek or Tanguy Ndombele all targeted.
