Leeds United are close to announcing the signing of Barcelona B player Rafa Mujica, while they have been linked with two more potential signings.
Reports recently claimed that Leeds director of football Victor Orta has negotiated a nominal fee with Barca to sign the 20-year-old forward and a move to Elland Road will be completed once the transfer window reopens.
And those claims appeared to gather pace last month when Orta was spotted ushering a figure – initially thought to be Mujica – into their ground.
Mujica is yet to make a senior appearance for Barca’s senior side, but has a decent scoring record for their B team, having played 59 times in total.
Now, journalist Phil Hey has confirmed that Leeds are likely to announce the signing shortly, after the player himself teased on social media at impending news with a statement confirming his Barca exit.

Meanwhile, a report from the The Sun claims that the West Yorkshire side are interested in taking Chelsea’s Jake Clarke-Salter on loan for next season.
Leeds have identified the England U21 captain as an ‘ideal choice’ to bolster their defence ahead of another crack at promotion to the top flight.
However, the report mentions that incoming Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could choose not to sanction the season-long loan of Clarke-Salter on the back of the ‘Spygate’ scandal from last season.
Leeds apparently ‘fear their several run-ins with Lampard, while he was in charge of Derby, might scupper their plans to sign Clarke-Salter’.
London Football News state that Leeds are also interested in signing midfielder Massimo Luongo from QPR, who are ready to sell the Australia international this summer.
However, Bielsa’s side reportedly face competition from Nottingham Forest for his signature, with both said to be ‘monitoring his situation’.
