However, the report mentions that incoming Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could choose not to sanction the season-long loan of Clarke-Salter on the back of the ‘Spygate’ scandal from last season. Leeds apparently ‘fear their several run-ins with Lampard, while he was in charge of Derby, might scupper their plans to sign Clarke-Salter’.
