Danny Rose’s long-awaited exit from Tottenham remains on the cards despite previous claims that a deal with Trabzonspor has collapsed. according to a fresh report.
Rose does not feature in manager Jose Mourinho‘s plans this season. Indeed, he did not make the Premier League or Europa League squads and has not earned a squad number.
But talk of his exit has lasted several months now, amid a fractious relationship with Mourinho.
Several teams including Premier League strugglers West Brom have reportedly shown interest in the 30-year-old. Although, Trabzonspor supposedly led the race.
More recently, talk of that deal collapsing surfaced and it claimed that Rose will instead stay in north London.
In any case, the deal continues to stall and Caught Offside has claimed to reveal the true reason why.
In an exclusive, the source reveals that Rose is ‘happy’ with the package presented to him by Trabzonspor.
What’s more, neither Spurs nor the Turkish club are holding the deal up; Tottenham are happy to let Rose go before his contract runs out in the summer, with Trabzonspor’s interest obvious.
Instead, Rose feels ‘desperately unsure’ about moving to Turkey and has not yet decided either way. Rose is reportedly facing a challenge weighing up the pros and cons of a move across Europe.
As such, Caught Offside adds that the transfer could go either way with time running out in the window.
Rose remains Spurs‘ longest-serving player, but his influence has been drained from the team.
He has not played for Spurs since last January, while his last first-team action came for Newcastle in July.
Tanganga eyed by Celtic
Meanwhile, Tottenham could yet ratify another exit, with Japhet Tanganga reportedly a target for Celtic.
The Hoops had Preston’s Ben Davies on their radar, but the 25-year-old has agreed a move to Liverpool.
As such, Sky Sports News reports that the Scottish giants – as well as two Premier League clubs – are keen on centre-back Tanganga to bolster their defence.
Spurs are willing to let the 21-year-old, who has yet to play in the Premier League this term, leave on loan and get first-team experience.
