A Man Utd has put pen to paper on a loan switch to Spanish side Deportivo Alaves in the search for first-team football.
Man Utd have been one of the busier clubs in the January transfer window thus far.
A whole host of exits have materialised, ranging from permanent departures with Timothy Fosu-Mensah to temporary exits with academy prospects Tahith Chong and Ethan Laird.
Their one major arrival was a major splash, however, that of ex-Atalanta forward Amad Diallo.
The rising star signed on the dotted line in a £37m deal, though his arrival did have an unintended consequence.
The path to first-team football for exciting Uruguayan attacker Facundo Pellistri now has another obstacle.
Pellistri, 19, moved to Old Trafford with significant expectations, but has only made two EFL Trophy appearances. In fact, an appearance on the bench in the Champions League is the closest he has come to making a first-team outing.
Instead, fellow teenage winger Diallo has been judged by Solskjaer to be further along in his development pathway.
As such, speculation recently ramped up over a loan exit in order to continue his progression elsewhere.
Now, that move has been confirmed by Man Utd’s official website with Deportivo Alaves Pellistri’s new home until the end of the season.
Best of luck at Alaves, @FPellistri07 #MUFC

Loan star wanted on permanent deal
Meanwhile, Manchester United defender star Diogo Dalot is wanted by AC Milan on a permanent transfer after an impressive loan spell.
The Portuguese right-back has spent the first half of this season at the San Siro, with Milan currently top of Serie A.
And the 21-year-old has played a major role in getting them there, making 16 appearances in all competitions.
To that end, SunSport claims that Milan have ‘made early contact’ with United to see if a deal can be brokered this summer.
