A Manchester United attacker who has been hitting the headlines has revealed that he does not want to ever play for another club.
Marcus Rashford has been winning not just Red Devil hearts, but also the football nation’s too.
His terrific championing of free school meals for children led to him being awarded an MBE this year.
While United are not in great form on the pitch, fans and pundits highlight the striker as one player who is pulling his socks up.
Rashford has netted ten times in 16 games for his club this season, also providing five assists.
Now the 23-year-old has admitted he doesn’t like the thought of playing elsewhere.
After being presented with the Sport for Social Change award at the British Sports Awards, Rashford said he wanted to do his best for United.
“I never look beyond Manchester United and as a kid I have never looked beyond Manchester United,” he said.
“In my mind it wouldn’t sit right for me to be pulling on another shirt. I just want to do my best I can. Hopefully I am here for a long time.”
He paid tribute to the Old Trafford outfit, giving testament to the influence the club has had on his life.
He added: “All the good things that have happened this year have all come from Manchester United giving me the opportunity as a kid.
“I don’t just remember the last year or the last five years. I’m talking about times when nobody drove in my family and I had to get to training, when United had people to come and take me to the training ground and back home when I was six to nine years old.
“I am talking about times when they put me into accommodation when my mum was struggling at home when I was 11 years old. I was there until 16 or 17.”

Connection with club ‘a lot deeper than people see’
Rashford said he will forever be grateful to Manchester United and his love for the club is vast.
He continued: “It is a lot deeper than people see sometimes. People only see what’s been happening since I have been in the first team but the bond I have with United is much greater than that.
“It will forever be greater than my actual career because they are the reason I have become a footballer and they have given me the opportunity to express myself.”
His attention now turns to Saturday when his side take on derby rivals Manchester City in the Premier League.
