Amad Diallo stuck between Man Utd shirt numbers as £37m move nears Amad Diallo is reportedly deciding between two Manchester United shirt numbers ahead of his imminent switch to Old Trafford. The Ivorian winger is due to arrive on English soil in the New Year when his transfer from Atalanta, which could rise to £37million, will finally be completed. The teenager has been tracked by United scouts since way back in 2016, when he was spotted at Under-15 level. He made an immediate impact in Atalanta’s first team, netting on his Serie A debut, as he made three appearances last season. That goal made him the first player born in 2002 to score in the Italian top-flight. But Diallo is not set for a new phase in his career as he heads to Old Trafford. The deal was finalised on deadline day in October, when it was confirmed he would sign at a later date. That was subject to his medical, personal terms and a work permit.     According to Norwegian journalist Fredrik A. Filtvedt, as cited by the Express, the 18-year-old is currently working on his English. He is also trying to decide between two potential squad numbers. Diallo will reportedly wear the 19 or 79 for United. It’s also expected that he’ll spend time with the Under-23s before joining the first team permanently.
