And Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini said that Tuesday’s 5-0 defeat was much different to their 5-1 defeat away at Man City last season. “We’ll need to have a thought, because we lost badly at Manchester City last season, but it felt different because we knew we had to improve,” Gasperini said. The difference tonight was huge, and we need to improve tactically, structurally. “We came into this game with two positive results, and we faced Liverpool believing we could do well, but the difference was massive and they simply were much better.”         Klopp’s broken nose comment Meanwhile, Klopp was booked in Bergamo after reacting to a  challenge from Georginio Wijnaldum. Atalanta wing-back Johan Mojica went down a easily following a challenge from the Dutch star  and Klopp was not happy. According to the Liverpool Echo, the German shouted from the touchline: “Are you serious!? I broke my nose five times, it was not one time a foul!” Klopp’s outburst earned him a yellow card from referee Ovidiu Hategan.
