The 27-year-old has had 11 clubs since leaving United, including Lazio, West Ham and Middlesbrough. But he has struggled to spark into the form Sir Alex Ferguson once said he could show. Indeed, Gary Neville recently revealed Ferguson’s insight into Morrison. “The former full-back said: “When Ravel was 13 I remember categorically Sir Alex Ferguson saying this was the biggest talent he’d seen at the club since Ryan Giggs and that was an enormous statement from someone like him. “He was special, really special. But I don’t think it was down to his attitude or lack of work rate to be honest. “Ravel had some significant complexities and challenges in his life that any of us would have found difficult to deal with. “And ultimately I think they have obviously meant that he’s not quite achieved what he should have. “But what I would hope is that Ravel can have a stable life and a stable football career and off the back of it obviously have something he can focus on.” Further concern for Greenwood The Sunday Mirror also claims that United have concerns about Greenwood’s lack of sleep. Club chiefs feel he is not getting sufficient rest to be able to play at the highest level.
