Graham Potter admits Brighton must turn good performances into points after drawing 1-1 with Crystal Palace.
It leaves Potter’s side with just one win from their opening five games, but the Seagulls boss is still happy with how they have been playing.
“I think the point was very deserved,” he told Sky Sports. “The game was a good one from our perspective.
“They scored on one of the only times they entered our box to get a penalty. We were playing well at that point.
“Overall we created more chances and I’m happy for the boys that we were able to get something in the end.
“We’re playing well, I think we were the better team today, created more chances but this is the Premier League. They’ve got some good players. We just have to keep going and try to turn performances into more points. That’s the challenge.”

The penalty that gave Palace the lead was contentious, as Michy Batshuayi appeared to go down very softly under contact from Tariq Lamptey.
However, Potter admits that making contact with a player will always give referees an “excuse” to award a spot kick, even if he disagreed with it.
“It looked a little soft. In defence of the referee, as soon as an arm goes up you give them an excuse to give the penalty.
“But, saying that, just because the arm goes up doesn’t mean it is a penalty either. He went down very quickly and I’m not sure it was a penalty.
“VAR got to see it and gave the foul. I’m not convinced, when saw it live I thought it was a little bit cheap.”
While Brighton ended the game strongly, they also had captain Lewis Dunk sent off in the closing stages for a reckless two-footed challenge on Gary Cahill.
There was no malice behind it, insists Potter, but the Brighton boss admitted it was not the kind of challenge he wants to see.
“It was not a good challenge. Not one that we want to see.
“We know he didn’t mean to hurt anybody, but we hold our hands up and say it’s not good enough from us.”
Potter insists Brighton were ‘dominant’
Potter elaborated on his thoughts about Brighton’s performance by maintaining that they were the “dominant” side.
Their opponents only had one shot in the entire game – Wilfried Zaha’s penalty – and Potter thinks they would have won a game like that more often than not.
“I am pleased with the performance and the team,” he told BBC Sport. “We created chances and restricted them to not much. That is the fine lines in the Premier League. If we play that game 10 times we win it quite a few times.
“Putting the ball in the net was missing. We created chances and were the dominant team. You can see that quite clearly.
“The scoreline affects it a bit because we were 1-0 down, but I was pleased. They scored one goal from their only entry into our box. One slight mistake will go against you and you have to respond. We did that well.”
