Liverpool will look to offload two attacking stars in the January window, while Man Utd target Ousmane Dembele is only interested in joining one club – according to Thursday’s transfer gossip.
LIVERPOOL READY TO CASH IN ON DUO
Jurgen Klopp managed to offload some of his fringe stars over the summer window, but two major ones are now set to be moved on in January.
Rhian Brewster was the highest-profile departure when he joined Sheffield United in a £23.5m deal, while Marko Grujic sealed a late loan switch to Porto.
However, despite being tipped to move on both Xherdan Shaqiri and Harry Wilson remained at the club.
The duo could not secure moves away, despite facing the prospect of a lack of game time this season. But interest is expected to be renewed in the talented attackers come the new year.
Indeed, a report on the Daily Star claims that the Reds will listen to offers for both Wilson and Shaqiri when the next window opens.
Burnley and Celtic were reportedly keen on Wilson, while Shaqiri’s absence from Liverpool’s Carabao Cup squad against Arsenal came amid talks over a potential exit.
Shaqiri has played just once for the Reds this season, starting and scoring in the Carabao Cup win at Lincoln, but he has since contracted coronavirus.
Wilson’s only first-team action came in the same competition against Arsenal.
