Inter tried to sell Tottenham old boy in swap for Champions League winner Inter Milan offered Bayern Munich the chance to sign former Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in a swap for Jerome Boateng over the summer, according to reports. Eriksen only moved to Inter in January, six months before his contract at Tottenham would have expired. However, the move has not worked out for the Danish playmaker. He was a substitute more often than a starter in his first half-a-season, and only completed 90 minutes in Serie A on two occasions. There was already speculation over the summer that Inter could cut their losses on Eriksen. Chelsea were mentioned as a potential suitor to take him back to the Premier League, while it has since emerged that Tottenham would be willing to welcome him back as well. However, according to Sky in Germany, Eriksen could have ended up in another league altogether.
