The deal is 80 per cent complete, the German source claims, with both clubs working on the final pieces of paperwork. As such, United will supposedly complete the signing in the coming days for an initial €22million (£20million). The fee will rise above the £20million mark with add-ons and bonuses. United fans have bombarded the club’s Twitter account in recent weeks with demands for new signings. Donny van de Beek is the Red Devils’ only acquisition so far. However, along with a deal for Telles, United are reportedly close to signing winger Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman is out of favour at Barcelona under new head coach Ronald Koeman.
