Manchester United are back in the hunt for €40million Hirving Lozano, while Chelsea face losing Jorginho to Juventus, all in the papers.
UNITED IN FOR CHUCKY
Manchester United are planning to step up their interest in Napoli forward Hirving Lozano, according to a report.
The Mexico international, nicknamed Chucky, has been on United’s radar for years with Lozano’s former club president at Pachuca Jesus Martinez telling ESPN Deportes last year that “Hirving has had a Manchester United scout watching him since he was 16”.
United were also understood to be looking at the player last summer before the 24-year-old signed for Napoli from PSV for €40million on a five-year contract.
However, his debut season in the Serie A has not gone according to plan with only two goals in 16 Serie A games and United are keen on the player.
According to Corriere dello Sport via ESPN Mexico United will look to the seize the opportunity to sign Lozano, who would bring with him huge economic benefits.
Lozano iks said to have a huge following in Mexico, which would be something United would look to capitalise on – just like they did with Javier Hernandez, who became a cult hero at the club.
Everton are also interested and proposed to Napoli a swap deal with Moise Kean, who upset Toffees officials after his lockdown breach last month.
