Only last week Sky suggested the 21-year-old had agreed a new deal, only for RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche to deny the talk. “Dayot isn’t about to sign anything, neither here nor anywhere else,” he said in an interview with Sport Bild. The UK broadcaster though insist a new deal is in the pipeline for the player, who has been interesting Bayern Munich. Sky report that Arsenal “have been watching him since last summer” but a move to Bayern Munich looked a distinct possibility before Leipzig refused to lower the player’s €60m release clause. Bayern have refused to pay that for the Frenchman, who was going to be out of contract in 12 months time, and he looks set to continue his spell in the Bundesliga after learning to speak German.
