According to Football Insider, Liverpool have given the green light to allow Shaqiri to find a new club in the summer and the 28-year-old has a number of suitors across Europe. While Roma and CSKA Moscow have shown “firm interest”, it is LaLiga club Sevilla who have shown the strongest admiration for a deal and are planning to move in with a bid. Serie A side Roma were heavily linked with Shaqiri throughout the January transfer window but Liverpool were reportedly reluctant to let him leave, with the player wanting to be part of the side that won the club’s first league title in 30 years. Elsewhere, pundit Danny Mills has questioned the prospect of Shaqiri leaving for £28million, a price quoted in a previous report. Mills said: “I cannot see it at that price. They paid £13million for him two years ago. Has he got better? No.     “He has stayed about the same and got older. Teams will not want to pay more than double what they paid for him. It does not make any sense.” In other news, Liverpool have been given hope of a deal for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius after it was claimed that the player is planning on pursuing his “English dream”.
