Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans is holding out for a move to Manchester United this summer, according to the latest reports.
Tielemans impressed in a half-season loan spell with Leicester after arriving from Monaco in January, and the Belgian is understood to be keen to stay in the Premier League.
Brendan Rodgers remains hopeful of convincing Tielemans to make his switch to Leicester permanent, but with Monaco setting out a €40m valuation, the Foxes may be priced out of the deal.
Recent reports in Belgium suggested that Tielemans is not against a move to the King Power Stadium, but United’s interest was making him hedge his bets.
Now, Belgian football expert Kristoff Terreur has provided an update, telling Sky Sports that Tielemans would prefer Old Trafford over a return to the Midlands.
He said: “If a club like Man Utd comes in where you can play European football, which is always very important for continental players, they can offer him that so he might rethink. He knows that Solskjaer rates him so he feels that the manager likes him.”
