Liverpool look set to beat Man Utd to a £45m defender, while the Red Devils are set to be offered two tempting swap deals, according to Wednesday’s European papers.
CLUBS LINING UP FOR PAUL POGBA
Manchester United look set to be offered the choice of two swap deals this summer as Real Madrid and Juventus up their pursuit of the midfielder, reports claims.
Pogba dropped his biggest hint yet that a summer exit is firmly on the cards by admitting he is looking for a ‘new challenge’.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this window, with Serie A giants Juventus reportedly keen on the idea of bringing Pogba back to Turin, while LaLiga giants Real Madrid have also been heavily linked.
Now, Spanish outlet Marca claim Los Blancos want to include winger Gareth Bale as part of a swap deal for Pogba, a player who has been mentioned as a possible target for United.
Reports have suggested that Bale is worth around £75million this summer, despite doubts over his long-term future at the Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, journalist Nicolo Schira of Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are readying their own cash-plus-player deal.
He states that Mino Raiola is insisting on the idea of taking his client back to Turin, with Juve director Fabio Paratici ready to offer €60-70m plus Paulo Dybala for the €150m-rated Pogba.
#Juventus insist with Mino #Raiola to return Paul #Pogba. Paratici is ready to offer money (€60-70M) plus Paulo #Dybala for him, but #ManchesterUnited want €150M. Meanwhile #RealMadrid and Zidane are in race for Pogba and want to close. #transfers #MUFC #mutd

The paper goes on to add that the player’s preference is a return to the Biaconeri, something which could work in their favour in the battle against Real.
Finally in the Pogba saga, AS are reporting that Raiola is playing up the interest of Juventus in order to get Real Madrid to make a move.
