Apparently Liverpool have decided to make a move for Coutinho after he announced he could never sign for their rivals Manchester United out of respect for Klopp’s men. And for that reason Klopp and the Liverpool board are understood to be ready to give Coutinho another shot at Anfield. Coutinho, who is currently on international duty in Brazil, made 34 appearances but only 22 starts, scoring five goals, as Barca won LaLiga last season – though he fared slightly better with three Champions League goals and three in the Copa del Rey. Barcelona are understood to be open to selling the 27-year-0ld, and it can only be assumed that the French publication’s information is coming via a contact in Paris. Paris Saint-Germain have also been heavily linked with the player and last month Paris United claimed that Coutinho’s representative Kia Joorabchian had met with PSG transfer guru Antero Henrique on numerous occasions in London Liverpool chairman Tom Werner speaking to the Liverpool Echo before the Champions League final, claimed that Coutinho probably regrets his £142million move to Spain in January 2018.
