Sheffield United have bid rejected by QPR for Leeds-linked winger Queens Park Rangers have rejected a £4m bid for Luke Freeman from Sheffield United who has also been linked with a move to Leeds. The former Arsenal and Bristol City man impressed for QPR lasts season, picking up the Player of the Season award after scoring 8 goals and assisting 6 times. The Blades submitted a bid at the end of last week for the winger which was swiftly rejected with the London club wanting considerably more, according to West London Sport. Leeds United are also said to be interested in a move for the 27-year-old who joined QPR from Bristol City in 2017. Leeds need a winger with Jack Clarke set to leave for Tottenham in the near future. Freeman caught Leeds’ eye with a brilliant individual display against the Whites at the end of February, scoring the winning goal in the R’s 1-0 victory against the Whites. However, the forward, who has missed a large portion of the season through injury, was already understood to be on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar. Freeman, who joined Arsenal as a youngster back in 2008 but left four years later having failed to make an appearance, came close to leaving QPR last summer when Middlesbrough and West Brom showed an interest. However, their interest was rebuffed and the player ended up signing a new deal to stay at the club. However, it is now expected that the player will leave this summer.
