Wenger says it’s awkward as he compares Spurs to great Man Utd XI Arsene Wenger has compared the current Tottenham side to Manchester United’s famous ‘Class of 92’ team. Wenger has been a guest of beIN Sports for their Champions League coverage this week and he has already pointed out exactly where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer went wrong for Man Utd against PSG. And last night the former Gunners boss, who admitted it was slightly awkward talking up Spurs, paid tribute to Mauricio Pochettino’s side and claimed there “is something there” with the Argentinian’s team. Wenger told beIN Sports: “I am an Arsenal fan so it is a bit of a sensitive subject for me but what I want to say is that they have the generations of young players. “They look like the Manchester United generation of Giggs, Butt, Beckham and Neville. They made it to the complete top. “You feel there is something there at Tottenham but they have not shown the maturity in the decisive moments to get there. “That is the target now to come to maturity in the next two to three years and show that.” Wenger, who won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups, revealed his sympathy for Pochettino as the Spurs boss tries to win his first trophy at the club. “Yes, it’s true it is very difficult to win trophies in England,” added Wenger. “The last cup we won we had to play against Man City in the semis and Chelsea in the final. “On the other hand you want to win trophies.” Get the latest personalised Spurs products on our new TEAMtalk Tottenham shop!   The post Wenger says it’s awkward as he compares Spurs to great Man Utd XI appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING
