True asking price for Chelsea target revealed to be quarter of exit clause Andrea Belotti could be available for a quarter of the price of his release clause amid links with Chelsea, according to reports. Belotti recently emerged as a potential target for Chelsea as they look to strengthen in attack. Timo Werner has not lived up to his price tag since joining in the summer. Furthermore, Olivier Giroud is out of contract at the end of the season and there are doubts about the future of Tammy Abraham. Torino striker Belotti could be an option to replenish their attack if someone does make way. He only has a year left on his contract with the Serie A side, where he has excelled in recent years. There is a €100m release clause in Belotti’s contract, which would be a hefty figure to pay for a player who could be a free agent in one year’s time. Hence, there could be an opportunity for Chelsea to snatch him for less. According to Corriere Dello Sport, Torino could accept an offer of around €25m. That would be four times less than the value of his exit clause. Two sides in Italy are particularly interested. AC Milan could be willing to offer this fee, but AS Roma would be more reluctant, despite their pursuit of the player. There is no mention of Chelsea, but Torino Granata confirm that the Blues recently made an enquiry for the 27-year-old. Chelsea thus remain in the picture. For the west London outfit to pursue Belotti, they must first rid themselves of at least one of Werner, Giroud and Abraham. There is every chance that one of them does leave. However, Belotti would still want to be first choice if he was to leave Torino for another club. Hence, it would likely have to be Werner to make way for Chelsea to get him. As things stand, there appear to be no plans for Werner to be sold despite his indifferent form this season. Tuchel defends Werner The former RB Leipzig striker recently received some words of support from his coach Thomas Tuchel.   Upon Werner’s return from an equally frustrating international break with Germany, Tuchel said: “It’s easy at the moment to point the finger at Timo, which I can’t understand. I am happy he is back here. “To look at it honestly, he is in a moment where he lacks confidence and things aren’t too easy. The goals are not working out as usual but he works out for us. “He still scores for us, still assists for us, still wins penalties. If this is the most critical point of his career you can say it’s still pretty impressive so far. “Timo has scored since he was five years old and he never stopped. So he can trust his brain and body, it will come back. That’s easier said than done. “Yesterday I sent him in from training because he wanted to do extra finishing with us. But I sent him in because it will come. The goals will come.” READ MORE: Granovskaia puts huge offer on table as Chelsea look to replace summer signing   The post True asking price for Chelsea target revealed to be quarter of exit clause appeared first on TEAMtalk. - SPORT BETTING
