But it appears as though the West Midlanders want to improve his terms and lengthen the deal before May 23. It is clearly a policy to make sure the top stars are all securely tied to the club. The pandemic has rocked clubs’ finances and so it has become even more important to work with what you already have. And the report adds that other players are also under consideration for improved contracts. Matt Targett, Douglas Luiz and Tom Heaton could be the beneficiaries of improved terms in the near future.
