Erling Haaland’s next club is far from a done deal amid claims that the striker’s agent Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge will on Friday jet to England for talks with Liverpool.
Haaland’s representatives were pictured in Barcelona on Thursday. Reports then revealed they had a two-and-a-half-hour meeting with Barca president Joan Laporta. The La Liga giants are beginning to explore a possible deal for the striker.
Talks are still in their early stages as Barcelona work out how to fund the deal. Haaland could cost €180m and would want wages worth £600,000 per week.

Therefore, Barca would have to shift players like Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti and Antoine Griezmann first. But they don’t want to miss out to a generational talent like Haaland when their rivals Real Madrid are also trying to sign him.
The meeting they have had with Raiola and Haaland senior suggests they are planting the seeds for a possible deal.
Haaland’s entourage also met with Real Madrid it has since been revealed as they too also look to secure a deal.
However, the talks won’t be restricted to just the Spanish giants. Indeed, Mundo Deportivo reports that Raiola and Haaland snr are due to arrive in England on Friday. First up, is a meeting with representatives of Premier League champions.
It would seem unlikely the Reds would be able to fund such a deal. However, it was claimed on Wednesday that the Reds were already working on a ‘substantial’ attacking signing this summer.
Liverpool, however, are not alone in holding talks with the Haaland camp. As per Mundo Deportivo, talks will also be held with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United over the coming days.

Dortmund respond to Haaland speculation
Quite where Haaland will end up is anyone’s guess at this moment in time.
Whatever the outcome, Dortmund can expect to bank a hefty profit on their initial £18m signing.
Either way, their chief executive Michael Zorc remains “relaxed” amid the tour of clubs that Raiola and Haaland snr are holding.
“Yesterday I spoke to Mino Raiola and we’ve made our intentions very clear,” Zorc told Sky Germany.
“No problem when Alfie and Mino want to take a sunbath on the Mediterranean Sea,” he added to Sport1. “I am relaxed because I know what we want.”
Remaining under contract until 2024, Haaland’s future is in Dortmund’s hands. He has scored 49 goals from 49 games for them and they are keen to enjoy his talents for as long as possible.
There is a release clause in his contract, but it will only be active from next summer. In the meantime, they will have to ward off any interested parties.
