Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has stated that he wants Dembele to remain at the club. But, with his deal set to expire at the end of next season, they need to think about fresh terms. However, the man with 23 France caps seems laid back about the current state of affairs. “I still have one year left on my contract,” he told beIN Sports (via Football Italia). “There have been no talks with the new board yet, but I’m happy and feel good. “I don’t know the new president, but he is very close to the players. We’ll see how it goes. I have been feeling good since I got back.” Dembele reveals love for Premier League new boys While the likes of Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keen, Dembele has revealed he is a fan of Leeds United. Leeds have a few new admirers since their return to the Premier League. And Whites forward Patrick Bamford revealed the surprise fan after a conversation with goalkeeper Illan Meslier. He said: “After the Fulham game he said, ‘I need your shirt please’. I said, ‘yeah, that’s fine, who for?’ He said, ‘Dembele, the guy from Barcelona. “I was like, ‘what, he wants my shirt?’ and he was like, ‘yeah, he wants yours and Kalvin’s shirts because he’s a massive fan of Leeds and watches every game’. “I was like, ‘you serious?’ and I said, ‘okay, but you’ve got to get me his shirt then in return’.” It seems unlikely the Elland Road outfit would enter the equation to sign Dembele. But it could be an interesting summer for his agent, with talks sure to take place.
