Jesse Lingard’s rejuvenation at West Ham has prompted reported interest from three of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The Manchester United man’s future looked bleak in January before he opted for a loan move to West Ham. The 28-year-old was struggling to get anywhere near the squad, never mind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first XI. Lingard decided to leave for London and his revival has been astonishing.
In nine Premier League appearances Lingard has scored eight goals and assisted four more. His form has helped David Moyes’s side continue their push for Champions League football and saw him recalled to the England squad.
And it seems his form has not gone unnoticed in Europe. Reliable outlet ESPN state that Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are among Lingard’s admirers.
The trio are all “monitoring” Lingard’s situation with the player having just one year left on his contract at Old Trafford.
Whether or not is fabulous form could see him reintroduced at Old Trafford is unclear. What is obvious is that West Ham “are keen to sign Lingard permanently at the end of the season”.
There is also believed to be rival interest from the Premier League, including the top six. The report claims Lingard’s preference is to play Champions League football next season. And he could be offered that a West Ham with the hammers currently in fourth place with seven games remaining.
Lingard’s future may also be delayed until after the Euros if he is selected in Gareth Southgate’s 23-man squad.

Arsenal in for Lingard
Arsenal are reportedly planning to hijack West Ham’s bid to sign Lingard this summer.
The Gunners were keen to take the Manchester United star on loan in January, but eventually lost out to their London rivals. A deal to take Lingard to north London was always unlikely however, given that United did not want to strengthen a potential top four rival. Bizarrely, that has happened anyway, with the Hammers flying high this season and Arsenal down in 11th.
There has been plenty of talk surrounding a permanent move to the London Stadium for the England man. However, there is no agreement in place between the two clubs.
A report in the Daily Star claims that has opened the door for Arsenal to make their move.
