Roy Keane claims Liverpool are now in a “crisis” and has slaughtered two Reds stars who failed them in the Anfield defeat to Crystal Palace.
It has been a feeble title defence from a side who were so dominant in the Premier League last season. Liverpool have now lost six games in a row at Anfield – something that was unthinkable just months ago.
The champions now have altered targets, with their qualification for Europe now even in doubt after their latest loss to relegation-threatened Fulham.
Such has been their downturn, Jurgen Klopp admits turning them around now would be a “masterpiece”.
Keane, however, feels their problems run much deeper. And, in analysing the game for Sky Sports, the pundit did not hold back, saying they lack unity.
“You always think that when a team wins the game but the biggest worry I have for Liverpool is for me they’re not playing as a team,” Keane said.
“They’re not a team and the signs have been there for the last few months when you’ve been thinking ‘Are they really that bad?’ It’s obviously crisis time for Liverpool now.
“They are not playing as a team and that should be the manager’s biggest worry.”

Keane also felt Fulham’s winner was the result of sloppy play from Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah – and he was quick to take the pair to task.
“It’s a lovely technique [from Mario Lemina] but it’s shocking from Liverpool’s point of view,” Keane added.
“Set-piece, obviously Robertson has got to do better. Salah – okay, it’s not one of his strengths – outmuscled.
“But it’s a lovely technique, the way he gets across the ball and they deserve it.
“It’s not a great delivery, I think Robertson has got to do better. Salah has got to be stronger, he cannot lose it there.
“Fantastic strike but it’s amazing what’s happened to this Liverpool team. They’re a shadow of themselves.
“Salah… not good enough, not strong enough, [no] desire but Robertson has got to do better as well.
“You’ve got to get a better header than that away.”
