Nevertheless, former Arsenal chief Mislintat has admitted that Kalajdzic’s exciting profile this season could make a summer sale a strong possibility. “We will not be able to keep our top players forever,” he told Kicker (via Sport Witness). “We will even have to finance ourselves by selling players. “Not because you are threatened with bankruptcy, but so that we can develop further. We have to raise funds, so that we can develop further.” Kalajdzic left Austria in the summer of 2019 to move to Germany. However, he barely featured in his first Bundesliga campaign following a cruciate ligament injury. However, he has stepped up significantly this term and reportedly attracted Premier League interest. West Ham made a sizeable loss on club-record signing Haller by selling him to Ajax in January. But while Michail Antonio remains a strong figure up front, they failed to find a replacement in January amid links with Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri.
