Nobody has been able to nail down the place with Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek all being tried there. And the Daily Star says United have nailed down their two priorities this summer – Erling Haaland and Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.     Haaland has been on United’s wanted list for 12 months after their failed to snare him last January. Solskjaer and Haaland worked together at Molde. Solskjaer even flew out last January to see the 20-year-old after he blasted 29 goals in 27 games for RedBull Salzburg. Instead the Norwegian secured a move to Borussia Dortmund for just £17.2m. Furthermore, it’s claimed Ed Woodward was opposed to the insistence of the Haaland camp that a release clause be inserted into his Old Trafford contract. That clause has since been inserted into his deal at Dortmund. This states he can now leave the Westfallonstadion in 2022 should any club match his £63m release fee. That apparently won’t stop United going after the Norwegian this summer. And they also want 22-year-old defender Kounde. The centre-back is emerging as one of the brightest prospects in LaLiga with Sevilla. United are likely to face competition for Kounde’s signature. The former Bordeaux man is attracting attention from Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
