Paper Talk: Sensational Chelsea return talk for Real Madrid man; Liverpool wanted Barcelona defender Chelsea are plotting a shock move to bring Eden Hazard to Stamford Bridge, but for less than half the price they sold him for, while Liverpool enquired about a Barcelona defender, all in the papers. CHELSEA CHASE HAZARD Chelsea are interested in a move to re-sign Eden Hazard from Real Madrid, claims a report. DefensaCentral claim Chelsea officials “have not lost sight” of their former talisman. In fact “Chelsea would be very interested in signing” the Belgium international again. However, they would only look to go to a maximum of €40m to €50m for the attacker they sold to Real in July 2019 for a club-record transfer of £130m including all add-ons. Considering his success at Stamford Bridge it would seem like a good deal for Chelsea. The 30-year-old scored 110 goals in 352 games for Chelsea and developed into a world-class talent. Things though have not gone well in Spain and the attacker has been plagued by niggling injuries. Hazard has scored just four goals in 35 games for Real Madrid, although he has started the last three LaLiga games for Zinedine Zidane.
