Chelsea are serious about a move for Erling Haaland are planning on selling a number of players to fund the summer deal, while Arsenal can sign Dani Ceballos for just £22m, all in the papers.
CHELSEA TO FUND HAALAND SWOOP
Chelsea will have to sell some of their fringe players if they are to land Erling Haaland this summer, claims a report.
The Blues, along with Manchester City and Manchester United are understood to be pursuing the Borussia Dortmund hitman.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has even admitted he is “following” the 20-year-old, whom United tried to land in January 20.
Football.london acknowledge that Chelsea are one of the clubs chasing the Norway superstar and claim players will have to be sold to fund a move in the summer.
The Norway international’s €75m release clause is only valid in 2022 and so Dortmund can ask for any fee before that.
Apparently Spanish Kepa Arrizabalaga, as well as defenders Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori are the three most likely to be sold to fund a move for Haaland.
Kepa was a £72m signing but he is behind Edoard Mendy, while Tomori is currently on loan at AC Milan with a £27m option to buy.
Meanwhile Christensen will only have a year remaining on his contract in the summer and could be axed with Thomas Tuchel believed to be eager to land another centre-back.
