New contender emerges to succeed Liverpool boss Klopp with ‘same line of thought’ A new man has emerged as a contender, a “natural replacement” to replace Jurgen Klopp when he calls it a day at Liverpool. Klopp is under contract at Anfield until 2024 and there has been no suggestions of an extension to that deal. If the German sees out his Liverpool deal he will have been in the Reds’ hot-seat for nine years. And after stabilising the club initially he has gone on to lift the Champions League, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Premier League titles. The two domestic cup titles have so far eluded Klopp, but it’s unlikely he will be too bothered. The contract extension that Klopp signed at Liverpool in December 2019 did include an unusual exit clause. There is no escape from the deal, but instead an agreement that Liverpool will help Klopp complete a safe and comfortable journey back to Germany. An agreement that the club will look after his repatriation to Germany. Recently rumours have surfaced that Klopp will seek to leave early and take the Germany job at the end of 2022, following the World Cup. Bild have claimed he would relish the chance to lead Germany at Euro 2024. However, he recently put talk to bed that he was looking for an exit route because of Liverpool’s poor form “Did I get the sack or did I leave by myself? I don’t need a break,” said Klopp. “Privately, we had a tough time, that was a much longer time already and we always deal with it as a family 100 per cent.” The Mirror claims “candidates are already being sounded out” to replace Klopp when he does walk away. The most likely candidates to replace Klopp are currently Steven Gerrard, Julian Nagelsmann and Klopp’s assistant Pep Lijnders. However, according to the Blood Red podcast, who appears to be a new name in the frame. That is 44-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach boss Marco Rose.     Rose has links with Klopp having played under him at Mainz before going on to coach the youth team – just like Klopp. Rose then joined Lokomotive Leipzig before joining Salzburg as an Under-16s coach. He then took over the Under-18s and guided them to the Austrian title and won the UEFA Youth League in his first season. ‘Natural successor’ He then become Salzburg’s head coach before taking the job at Monchengladbach. He guided the club into the knock-out stages of the Champions League and has recently agreed to take over at Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. But in three years when Liverpool are looking for a quality replacement, Rose might be looking for another step up in his career. “Winning the UEFA Youth League is the biggest achievement of the Red Bull football era,” said Karan Tejwani, author of Wings of Change and Red Bull Soccer expert. “The Dortmund job seems tailor-made for him – and the Liverpool one, for sure. “If Klopp was to leave next year, or this summer, Marco Rose or Julian Nagelsmann would be the natural successor because of the line of thought they have.” READ MORE: Liverpool tipped to brush aside transfer rivals for Ligue 1 talent The post New contender emerges to succeed Liverpool boss Klopp with ‘same line of thought’ appeared first on teamtalk.com. - SPORT BETTING

A new man has emerged as a contender, a “natural replacement” to replace Jurgen Klopp when he calls it a day at Liverpool.

However, he recently put talk to bed that he was looking for an exit route because of Liverpool’s poor form

“Did I get the sack or did I leave by myself? I don’t need a break,” said Klopp.

“Privately, we had a tough time, that was a much longer time already and we always deal with it as a family 100 per cent.”

The Mirror claims “candidates are already being sounded out” to replace Klopp when he does walk away.

‘Natural successor’

He then become Salzburg’s head coach before taking the job at Monchengladbach.

“If Klopp was to leave next year, or this summer, Marco Rose or Julian Nagelsmann would be the natural successor because of the line of thought they have.”
