Kylian Mbappe insists he remains happy at PSG after his stunning hat-trick in Barcelona – but says it’d be wrong to make any snap decisions over his future after just one match.
The 22-year-old striker has 18 months left on his contract in the French capital and is officially mulling over his future.
The exciting forward will have no shortage of admirers. However, there aren’t many teams who will have the pulling power and funds to land the former Monaco man.
Real Madrid and Liverpool look the best placed to lure Mbappe at this point in time. However, his new boss Mauricio Pochettino has tried to gloss over the player’s uncertain future.
The World Cup winner served a timely reminder of why he’s already considered one of the world’s best on Tuesday night. His magnificent hat-trick at the Nou Camp saw PSG put Barcelona to the sword in the Champions League.
Mbappe was questioned on his future once again after the full-time whistle on Tuesday night. And while he seems happy, he is refusing to rule anything out.
“It would be stupid to decide my future on a single match,” Mbappe told RMC Sport.
“The truth is that it is about reflecting for the long term. I have always said that I am happy here. This sort of match makes me even happier.”

Pochettino keeping Mbappe, PSG grounded
Following their 4-1 victory, Pochettino has warned his PSG players that the job is far from done.
He was quoted on the UEFA website saying: “There are 90 minutes left and they have great players. There’s still a second leg.
“Perfection doesn’t exist. I’m happy with the result and performance, but we have to stay humble. We have a big match against Monaco on Sunday and we’re already thinking about that.”
On Mbappe, the former Tottenham boss said: “There’s no doubt that Kylian is one of the best players in the world, despite his young age. He’s already done extraordinary things, but we have to stay humble.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman knows his side face a tall order to salvage their Champions League campaign.
“Surely the result reflects how superior they have been,” said Koeman. “In the second half we had problems defensively.
“They proved physically to be very superior to us. We have to admit that they have been superior. They have shown that they have a more complete team than us.”
