The 31-year-old failed to settle in Rome after joining the club in 2018. He made 27 Serie A appearances in his first season but was sent out on loan to fellow Italian side Cagliari for the 2019/20 campaign. Since moving to Goodison Park, though, his fortunes have improved. Hence, he has confirmed he would be open to staying with the club permanently. Speaking to Everton’s official website, Olsen said: “I knew I would have the competition with Jordan [Pickford] but I have seen if I train well, I will get my chances and if I play well, I will get more chances. “You should want to improve yourself every day and I feel I am getting better all the time with Everton. “We have a fantastic goalkeeper group – we can make jokes but when it is time for exercise everyone switches on, it is extremely professional and you need complete focus.” Olsen spent six months in Greece after he left his hometown side Malmö in July 2015. He then had a two-and-a-half-year spell at FC Copenhagen before moving to Italy after he reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup with his country. When he made the switch from the Italian capital to Merseyside, Olsen was joined by his wife, Mia, and their two children. The family are said to be settled and the happiest they have been in years. Olsen believes that England suits his life on the pitch better too. “In Italy, it is more tactical, you need to be in your position and do what the coach is telling you, ‘You pass the ball there, there’,” he added. “Here, the players are so good, they already know what they are doing. Ancelotti wants FA Cup momentum

Olsen is in line to make his third successive start for the first time this season on Wednesday evening.

Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has urged his side to maintain their momentum after they grabbed a late equaliser in a 3-3 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.
