Euro Paper Talk: Levy to axe summer signing and lure £25m France attacker from rivals; Liverpool chase powerful Serb Tottenham could dump a summer signing and make a transfer raid on their rivals for a striker, Liverpool lead the chase for a big Serb, while Manchester United will start an auction for a €90m star, according to Thursday’s Euro Paper Talk. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE WANTED BY TOTTENHAM Tottenham are battling Juventus in a surprise deal to prise Alexandre Lacazette away from Arsenal this summer. The Gunners allowed a number of high-profile stars to move on in January as they cleared the deck. The likes of Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Sead Kolasinac were all allowed to move on. However, the exodus will not stop there, with technical direct Edu also looking to offload four more big names. As per the report, Lacazette, David Luiz, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi are all likely to be sold. Of the quartet, Lacazette is likely to generate the most funds. The striker, while having just 16 months left on his deal, boasts a decent goals return for Arsenal. Indeed, since signing from Lyon in a then-club record move from Lyon, Lacazette has 58 goals in 154 games for the club. According to Todofijaches, both Spurs and Juventus are leading the chase for Lacazette. While a move to Juve would interest the 29-year-old, it’s claimed canny Spurs chief Daniel Levy hopes the chance not to up to sticks could turn the tide their way. At £25m too, Levy would finally land cover and another credtitable attacking option alongside Harry Kane. Tottenham signed Carlos Vinícius on loan from Benfica last summer with the option to make the move permanent. However, Jose Mourinho doesn’t appear to rate the Brazilian that highly.  And rather than sign him permanently from Benfica in the summer, Levy and Mourinho would instead prefer Lacazette.
