They are about to unleash Amad Diallo on the world after finally completing his paperwork. They agreed a deal with Diallo in October, with Atalanta receiving £37m for his signature. United feel the 18-year-old is worth every penny. Solskjaer labelled him “one of the most exciting young prospects in the game”. The Ivorian and England’s Mason Greenwood have been tipped to terrorise Premier League defences. It will be another string to the Norwegian’s bow after an excellent first four months of the campaign. A 10-match unbeaten league run sees them level on 33 points with table-topping Liverpool. That came after a shaky start and means there is real optimism about a title challenge in 2020-2021. Whether or not they can maintain their form only time will tell but the signs are positive. It was always going to take time for the former United striker to turn things around.
