As such, United bosses believe that they have ‘dodged a bullet’ by avoiding paying the £108million fee. They are also ‘debating’ whether to go back in for Sancho next summer. But their overarching feeling is that they feel ‘more convinced than ever’ that they should steer clear. Indeed, the signing of Amad Diallo has made United feel ‘justified’. The Atalanta winger penned terms at Old Trafford in October but could make his move to Manchester this month. However, the Serie A club have reportedly requested that the 18-year-old stays in Italy until the end of the season.
