Haaland ‘will leave Dortmund’ as two chief rivals to Man Utd emerge Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is reportedly set to spark a transfer scramble for the striker’s services amid reports in Spain that he will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. Manchester United were linked with the prolific forward last January. Having worked together at Molde, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer flew out to see the 20-year-old after he blasted 29 goals in 27 games for Red Bull Salzburg. United though apparently baulked at his Raiola’s fee involved in the deal for Haaland. Instead the Norwegian secured a move to Borussia Dortmund for just £17.2m. Ed Woodward was also opposed to the insistence of Raiola that a release clause be inserted into his Old Trafford contract. That clause has since been inserted into his deal at Dortmund.  This states he can leave the Westfallonstadion in 2022 should any club match his £63m release fee. However, it’s reported Raiola is already looking to move his client on this summer. Reports on Tuesday claimed United were ready to launch a huge nine-figure bid for the Norwegian hotshot. Reports of his departure from the Westfallonstadion are also beginning to gather pace in Spain. According to Cat Radio, Raiola is already working to move his client on. They surprisingly state that Barcelona are in the running to sign the striker. Presidential candidate Emili Roussaud has made it his priority to land Haaland. His aide, Josep Maria Minguellsa told the station: “We know all the conditions and if we win, the following day I will call Mino Raiola and we will accept those conditions. I have already advised him of that. “We have a world-class sports project that is not showing just now, but Emili Rousaud has a plan that will turn this unfortunate situation (at Barcelona) around.” Raiola has since dismissed suggestions that Haaland could join Barcelona as ‘fake news’. As such, the Daily Express report that stance will open the door to both United and Manchester City. However, Real Madrid cannot be discounted either. Erling Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is reportedly set to spark a transfer scramble for the striker’s services amid reports in Spain that he will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
