The 23-year-old has been involved in three of the last four Premier League matches and started in the 6-2 win over Leeds. According to the Manchester Evening News, the Wales winger is determined to fight for his place within the Man Utd squad. Still it seems James, who has been linked to Everton, was offered to WBA. Watmore, 26, is a different proposition. He only recently signed a short-term deal with Middlesbrough, which expires this month. Warnock said: “Duncan’s enjoying it and I hope he stays. We’re talking to him all the time and I do hope he stays. “I think he’s enjoying it. He didn’t want to come off tonight so I left him on. “You do worry [that he’s yet to sign a new deal], but life’s too short. All we can do is try and if it doesn’t come off then you move on.” Watmore would be available on a free transfer and it seems his agent has been trying to work on a Premier League deal.
