Paul Scholes names four-man Man Utd attack that can challenge for Premier League glory Paul Scholes has named the four players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should pick in attack if he wants Manchester United to score the goals needed to win the Premier League title. United saw their 10-game winning away run in the Premier League come to an end on Saturday in a 2-2 draw at Leicester. The Foxes’ late equaliser, seemingly scored by Jamie Vardy, was credited as an Axel Tuanzebe own goal. A win could have lifted United up to second. However, the draw means they are down in fourth, four points behind Liverpool. After the match, Scholes took time to praise Bruno Fernandes, highlighting the ridiculous way he has transformed their side. Now the BT Sport pundit has urged Solskjaer to pick a side around the Portuguese star. As such, he has urged Solskjaer to pick Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood alongside Fernandes. Greenwood was an unused substitute at the King Power Stadium. And Scholes believes that adding him to the mix would represent United’s best attack and make them a real Premier League force. “Leaving the best players out, I wasn’t really including [Edinson] Cavani in that. “I know he’s a top centre-forward but he’s coming to the end of his career now. “I was thinking more Mason Greenwood. I know he didn’t come into the game today, but I think when those three start together, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford with Fernandes in behind, I don’t think anybody can handle that. I think it’s too good. “It’s great to have Cavani coming on as an option, as he did, and there will be some games he can play.” Scholes though was coy on whether United could mount a title challenge, but did have a message for Solskjaer. “I said before about the 12, 13, 14 players United need to have fit to maintain a challenge, that’s still right. Like Cavani can do in spells as well. “Can they win the league? I don’t know. “I think they can challenge. But I just see Liverpool as too good for anybody else in this league at the minute.” Fernandes in line for new deal Fernandes’ impact is not just being recognised by pundits, but also by those inside the club. Recent reports suggested that the playmaker could be in line for a new contract, which would include a wage rise to reflect his influence on the team. His deal currently runs until 2025, with the option for an extra year. However, United could tie his future down even further than that. Paul Scholes has named the four players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should pick in attack if he wants Manchester United to score the goals needed to win the Premier League title.

Scholes though was coy on whether United could mount a title challenge, but did have a message for Solskjaer.

“I said before about the 12, 13, 14 players United need to have fit to maintain a challenge, that’s still right.
