Paper Talk: Inter star wants PSG move in damning Man Utd snub; Bale in shock Tottenham U-turn A struggling Inter Milan star is set to snub a move to Manchester United in the hope of joining PSG, while Gareth Bale has made a surprising U-turn over the chance to remain at Tottenham, according to Tuesday’s transfer gossip. ERIKSEN SET TO SNUB UNITED Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen is reportedly ready to snub interest from Manchester United in the hope of securing a move to PSG. The former Tottenham playmaker has struggled to establish himself since moving to the San Siro last January, with the Serie A giants ready to cut their losses just 12 months on. After an hour-long struggle against Cagliari, Inter boss Angtonio Conte said ‘some players can leave’. That sparked United’s interest, particularly given the continuing doubts over Paul Pogba’s future and Donny van de Beek’s struggles to adapt to English football. But, as reported by the Daily Star, Eriksen is likely to rebuff interest from the Red Devils and hold out for a move to PSG. Inter have offered him out to clubs across Europe and are hoping for a £27m fee, rather than a swap deal or loan with an option to buy. The report adds that sources close to Eriksen claim he is not keen on a return to English football, particularly since his reputation has been damaged in Italy. The 28-year-old, who has also been linked with Arsenal, ended a six-and-a-half year spell at Tottenham in January 2020. But he has scored just four goals across 37 appearances in all competitions for Inter. The 103-cap Denmark international was given a rare start at the weekend but was hauled off before the hour mark with his side 1-0 down. Inter wnt on to win 3-1 with Eriksen watching on from the bench. His exit now seems inevitable, although Eriksen’s next destination is far from settled heading into the new year.
