Brighton boss Graham Potter wants to sign a Manchester United star, while a Barcelona presidential hopeful is eyeing an Arsenal raid – all in the latest Paper Talk.
SEAGULLS EYE MAN UTD RAID
Brighton boss Graham Potter will make an enquiry about signing Daniel James on loan from Manchester United in January, according to a report.
James showed glimpses of his talent last season, his debut campaign for the Red Devils after leaving Swansea.
However, he has struggled to follow that up this term with a lack of game time. Indeed, he has only made six appearances, including just three Premier League outings.
Previous reports have suggested that James is keen to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place. However, The Sun on Sunday claims otherwise.
The newspaper claims that James has told friends that he is willing to reunite with Potter. The pair thrived together in South Wales before James’ move up north.
What’s more, Potter believes that James would be a ‘great asset’ to his team. The Seagulls have struggled for goals this term, bringing in Danny Welbeck to support Neal Maupay.
However, there is a belief that James would add another exciting dimension to their attack.
The 22-year-old has his sights set on Euro 2021 with Wales but knows that he needs more game time ahead of the tournament.
