However, it was their visitors who got the next goal, as Marcus Rashford equalised in the 26th minute. Rashford controlled a long ball from Victor Lindelof before lashing home a powerful strike. The Red Devils found themselves in front seven minutes later. Paul Pogba sent an aerial ball forwards, which Anthony Martial latched onto. The striker managed to control the ball before prodding past Aaron Ramsdale to make it 2-1. Rashford had a chance to extend the lead shortly after, but Ramsdale saved with his feet.
