Now, Allan has explained in more detail why he made the decision to join Everton in the summer. “First of all, Everton are a big team with a great history,” he told the Liverpool Echo. “Also, with the sporting project that’s being put together here, with plans for a new stadium, Ancelotti as the coach, it’s a great thing. “So, when the opportunity came up to come here, I didn’t think twice. I embraced the project. “To be here playing in this league and wearing Everton’s shirt is a really nice dream come true.” Allan confident of progress under Ancelotti Ancelotti previously spent 18 months managing Allan at Napoli, before he left the Italian club in 2019. He has since sparked a revival at Everton, and Allan believes his boss has the perfect characteristics to ensure that upturn in fortunes remains in the long-term. “Carlo is a top guy, someone who manages to keep all members of the squad happy,” he explained. “He knows how to treat players on a day-to-day basis, which is crucial because he manages to get 100 per cent out of the players. “It’s great working with him.
