If he leaves, we will have to replace him first. “But I think they will stay. Now is not the time for us to weaken our team.” Whether the club’s stance will change next month remains to be seen. Aulas may fancy cashing in on the player, who has scored 44 goals in 102 appearances for Lyon. West Ham will point to his blank scorecard this time around though and look for some discount. Moyes is on the lookout for a top-class centre-forward and Dembele would be a shrewd acquisition as the Hammers look to build on a solid start.
