Chelsea could soon wave farewell to Jorginho and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with the pair looking to leave Stamford Bridge for very different reasons.
The Italy midfielder joined the Blues from Napoli in summer 2018 and has proved a big hit for Chelsea.
However, he was strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer with the Blues looking to offset some of their massive £230m outlay.
Juventus had been mentioned as a possible destination before his old mentor Maurizio Sarri was replaced.
According to the player’s agent, Joao Santos last month, the Blues chose to snub a swap deal for Jorginho that would’ve seen ex-Juventus and current Barcelona ace Miralem Pjanic call Stamford Bridge his new home.
However, reports suggest the departure of Jorginho remains a strong possibility. Earlier this month it was claimed he was one of three stars likely to leave to make way for more new arrivals.
Now the midfielder’s agent claims the player will wait to see where Sarri arrives next before making his next move.
“Jorginho has a personal and professional bond with the coach that is very strong. We’re waiting to see where Sarri goes, and if it’s a big club in Italy, Jorginho could follow him,” Joao Santos told CalcioMercato.
“He’s very happy with Frank Lampard, the new signings have entered well. Chelsea can do even better than last season.”
“Almost all the Italy players are in Serie A, as it’s an important league. But, his path led him to Chelsea. In Italy there are 5 important teams, he was Napoli which is one and then he went to London.”
“If Maurizio Sarri had remained, perhaps he’d have joined Juventus.”
Sarri left Juventus earlier this year after one season in charge, while he had also spent just one season at Chelsea.

Kepa to push for Chelsea exit
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, meanwhile, is willing to take a significant pay cut to secure a loan move in January, reports The Sun.
The Spaniard has now lost his place at Chelsea to the excellent form of summer signing Edouard Mendy. That lack of game time at Stamford Bridge has seen him fall down the pecking order for Spain. And with the delayed Euro 2020 scheduled for this summer, Kepa knows he needs to play to secure his place.
As such, Kepa is now open to a loan move away in January. Furthermore, he is willing to accept a vast reduction in his £150,000-per-week salary.
A return to LaLiga looks likely the best option for the 26-year-old.
That comes despite a former Blues goalkeeper tipping the Spaniard to still come good at Chelsea.
